If you can't hit a plane without the assistance of radar tracking then you are going to run into trouble when trying to protect your team, I have several radar SPAA's now for USA, Germany and russia (I am working on getting the veak for sweden as well) but for all of them the radar tracking mode is more or less worthless next to simply eyeballing it due to the issues mentioned above. (I mentioned this in another post but I'll mention it here) radar tracking should not degrade over time either but in game the longer you track something the further away the lock will get from the plane, the lock will actually move away from the aircraft (mid air, stationary and moving, no counter measures because the Alluoette and Scout don't have them and neither do the early migs or late props). If a plane as I mentioned is 2km off the ground and the radar proceeds to lock onto the ground and then follow the planes movement then there is a problem.
